(This references the "Loops Not Syncing w/Disk&OneShot" Thread - Post Reply isn't working in this message board). I'm the one who mentioned the pre-roll buffer checkbox hack. When I record a new track it is offset from the other tracks in the project and does not stay in sync with them, even if it is later manually moved to align with the start of other tracks. This happens for any recorded track type (one-shot, loop, or disk-based). I've found that if I do the following, the sync problem is avoided: - before each attempt to record, go to "Preferences->Audio->Advanced" - check, then uncheck, the checkbox for "do not pre-roll buffers before starting playback". I'd guess that the checking/unchecking on that checkbox is reseting something between Acid and the audio driver. My system is pretty common: Intel Pentium II at 333 MHz win95 (service release 2) Creative Labs SB AWE64 two EIDE hard drives All other Acid Pro settings are at their defaults. I'm starting Acid after a system reboot, and no other application programs are running. |
