Oh wow, this site is having a rough time, just got this error trying to post this message:
---------------------------------
Provider error '80004005'
Unspecified error
/obj/SQLSupport.asp, line 193
---------------------------------
10 minutes later the site is working again.
Anyway, what I wanted to post was:
My 3rd party plugins have just failed.
I get the error
-------------------------------
The plugin could not be run. One or mure components required to run this... blah blah blah
Detail shows:
Plugin does not support required connection
-------------------------------
Oh great, now what do I do?
I've tried a cold boot.
I've even tried waiting a day to see if a good nights rest would help.
Nope.
Oh jeez. what if I had a client on my back? This would be intolorable.
Do I have to reinstal Vegas (7.0e).
I suppose that's what I have to do.
I wonder if trying to instal the Cinescore 1c update and it's failing to instal because it won't run under W2K screwed up Vegas?
Anyone have any suggestions - I haven't tried to instal anything other than the Cinescore 1c update.

Site may e a bit busy downloading zillions of V8s !

Sounds like your incomplete install may haver stuffed things up. Try uninstalling both apps then reinstalling (delete the 'Sony Setup' folders too, to get fresh install files).

And W2K ?!!! I'd seriously suggest picking up a second-hand XP Pro - cost should be next to nothing. A couple of clicks and it looks just like old Windows and works better.

geoff

Thanks for the input, ahh dear, sounds like you're right.
Oh wow, those Cinescore theme installs take up so much time!

Better set aside a couple of days for the Vegas+Cinescore reinstal.

W2K has worked fine for so many years, bought a copy of XP Pro with my latest 2 core PC but although I got it setup almost like I like it would continually do things I didn't like - like resetting some of my settings. Can't remember what now but it drove me crazy enough that I reinstalled W2K in a dual boot with Ubuntu - now there's a nice operating system.
If only Vegas would run on Ubuntu!
