hello all,

Michelle: thanks for the advice and the URL. Great site.
RealEncoder works as advertised (and free, to boot), but for
larger compositions, the resulting .rm file is still pretty
big (> 1 MB). At least it will fit on a floppy disk now : )
I'm working on further compression.

I was surfing and found a great free .wav editor - just the
thing for those unwieldy .wavs. Try

Also good for encoding your .wav files into MPEG files.
