Subject:Fireface400 crashes SF9.0

For a brief background, SF ran fine on my very old computer, which was about 5-6 years old and didn't have enough free space to defrag. Soooo, I got a new computer and a Fireface 400 device which has been known to play nice with my main DAW (Sonar.) It does appear to play nice with Sonar, but when I try to open SF, I have problems....listed below. So any help or constructive thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am running SF 9.0C build 405. I just got a Fireface 400 and have the latest drivers (ver 2.75) for WinXP installed. When I open SF ever since I installed it, I get:
An error occurred while opening an audio device
The device specified is in use

When I close that warning and go to Preferences to configure SF, I get:
An error occurred during the current operation
An exception has occurred

Are there any other audio devices on the system and have they perhaps been disabled since the last time Sound Forge was run?

Regardless, you may want to try resetting preferences by holding down Ctrl+Shift while starting Forge.

As far as I know, there had been nothing else (and nothing listed in Control Panel..... the only sound device was FF.) In any event, when I opened SF as you suggested a Windows Mapper?? was selected. I selected FF instead and it works fine. Many thanks for your suggestion.
