Can anyone tell me how to sync Acid to another program
that allows you to use Midi? I have been trying to do this
with Voyetra Digital Orchestrator Pro with no success. I
have a Sound Blaster Live card and I am wondering if that
maybe the problem. I have tried generating Midi thru Acid
and chasing with DOP and vise versa. Sometimes I get no
error and sometimes depending on the configuration I get a
"sound card already in use" error. Can anyone make any
suggestions. If anyone can recommend special software or
hardware, it would be appreciated.

ACID pro ships with the Virtual MIDI Router drivers for Win9x and NT.
I
believe it is in the extras directory on the ACID CD. This will allow
you to
connect DOP with ACID generated sync.

The problem you sound like your having is trying to play audio through
both
ACID and DOP. You will need to different Wave output devices to do
this. If
you want to use DOP only for MIDI, then you must disable the audio
output of
DOP. Not sure how you do this - or even if you can.

If you need details on the configuration, please post back here.

im using that Hubis Lookback device. it creates midi ports, for
programs,
and lets you connect that way.

Thanks for the info. I got it to work but now when I go
to stop it my system locks up and I have to restart. I
have tried stopping DOP first but it says that the master
must stop first. I have an AMD K62 333 MHZ processor and
64 MB of Ram. Can you help?

I take it you mean you stop ACID from playing back?

If this is the case., I have not seen this before. I will take a
look.

What version of DOP are you using? Are you syncing using MIDI Clock or
MTC?

You can try MIDI yoke as well. I like it better than HUBI's
loopback
because it doesn't create all those taskbar buttons on the bottm of
the
screen. You can find it on Propellerheads Rebirth website.
