According to the info on Vegas Pro 8 from the SMS website, VP8 has a new Mixing Console Window (you can see it here) that looks pretty cool.

This is what they say:

"The Mixer Console provides sophisticated hardware emulation to mix audio, specify routing, assign audio effects, and control automation. Customize your console layout and the details of all track and bus controls—including FX sends—to make working with your audio mixes efficient and productive."

I'd love to see this in Acid Pro 7...whenever it arrives!

Anybody else think this might be useful?

Kevin

Another step in the right direction. I would love to see this in acid 7. Crap I can see myself buying a video card that supports 3 monitors so that I can have one of those just for the mixing console itself!!! ;)

BTW...my vote for mackie C4 support in AP7...mixing with a mouse should be optional.

Ed, what are you currently use for a controller? Just curious . . .

Mackie mcu. Not the new ones though. I also use a contour shuttle pro 2 for all my editing shortcuts. Great combo.
