Anyone know how to disable (in SF9) the automatic creation of a region whenever a portion of a file is selected? Even after the section is 'de-selected' a region still sits there. cheers Tech |

It's not a region as such (I'm defining that as being the type when you actually add a region from a selection - push "R" if you don't know what I'm talking about) - it's a loop region that does indeed retain a ghost area once a selection has been "de-selected". As for disabling it - sorry, can't help you on that one. If you look t the status bar you will also see a ghost of selection length too. ps - apologies if you already knew all the above, just wanted to clarify the difference between region and region :)..... |

Thanks for that. I've sort of accepted this new thing (SF8 didn't do it). It's only a nuisance if I have Loop Playback enabled, and then it keeps reverting to the 'ghost' section even if it's not selected. The only way I can overcome it is to right-click the thing on the top bar, and click 'set selection to file length'. Strange phenomenon... cheers Tech |

In Options->Preferences->Editing, check "Force loop bar to match selection". J. Message last edited on9/4/2007 9:43:01 AM byForumAdmin. |
