Does it just not work at all? Does the Kore controller control any of Acid's functions? What about using Komplete by itself with Acid...any complaints or other thoughts? T'hanks~! Message last edited on8/13/2007 6:09:37 PM byIllogical. |

I use Komplete 4 in Acid just fine. I know there were/are problems with Kore, but I don't use Kore. But Komplete 4 is nothing fancy - it's just all of NI's VSTi's bundled into a single discounted package. They all install and load up like any other VSTi. -Tom |

Kore is broken in ACID as of Kore's version 1.1 It sort of works, but causes playback weirdness and renders all wrong. "Wrong" as if it were born missing everything from the knees up. Yeah, that kind of wrong. Sony claims NI contacted them and they are working on it. NI claims Sony is not responding about this issue. I think they both need a little time in the corner to think about their behavior. |

lol, you'd think that, having worked together on both Acid Pro 5 and 6, they'd get along a bit better...or at least return each other's calls. But they just dropped the deal I was hoping to take advantage of, so I no longer care. Sweetwater was selling Kore + Komplete for $899, and now it's gone (presumably to make room for Kore 2). Too bad, it was a good deal, if only it worked... |

At least if someone from either company would just be straight about it, I could at least move forward. NI is supposed to call me today with an update. They failed to call as promised last week, so I am not holding my breath. The funnest part is they are trying to tell me about workarounds that involve removing Kore and closing my project, then reopening my project, re-adding Kore, and then sometimes it works for a few minutes...or something like that. The other workaround involves adding a VST wrapper from a 4th party company. I believe I will opt out of that particular part of the runaround. By the way, I am able to load Kore and play sounds in Acid. I just can't render anything I do. its like bad demo software. Works great on my laptop in standalone mode. I haven't had time to try to get Kore knobs and controllers assigned to drive ACID. Given the story thus far, I have my doubts. |

As I have stated before, we are looking at the issue. I don't have a time frame. Peter |

Kevin, When you use Kore, is ACID set up to use the Kore audio outputs? Does it make a difference? Peter |

I picked up Kore/Komplete during the sale too. As is mentioned on several other forums, version 1.0 appears to work just fine with ACID and other hosts that have issues with the latest version. I'm not going to bother updating so that I can break it for a few months until 2.0 comes out (although I'm interested in seeing if NI has made any headway on the problem by then). The one synth I found so far that doesn't render properly in 1.0 (even though it plays just fine) also doesn't recall its presets after saving the Koresound, so I presume it's just a badly written plugin in that case, and neither Sony nor NI's fault. |
