Looping Background Audio & Video

I'm trying to create a menu with background audio and video. I would like to loop a video I've created using Movie Studio 6 Platinum, along with a simple bass/drum MP3 created in Acid. I can set the background video to the MPG, and the audio to the MP3, and set the "End Event" to "Loop", but the video is longer than the audio, so the menu plays the beginning of the video with audio, then the rest of the video without audio, then repeats the process.

The question is whether or not the background audio can be looped independently of the background video, or should I use Movie Studio to produce the MPG with the background audio? I suppose I could stretch/trim the video to end simultaneously with the music loop, but am wondering if this is necessary.

Tools:
Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6.0b - Build 126
DVD Architect 4.5b - Build 77
Acid Music Studio 6.0b - Build 81

The audio and video should be of the same length. They cannot loop independent of each other.

Sidenote: You're better off giving DVD Architect a WAV or AC3 file rather than MP3 since it's just going to re-encode to one of the other two, anyhow.

might be better off playing with the audio, stretching or looping, then cutting off at the length of the mpg2. You'll probably want to add a fade in/out at the beginning and end also.
