Subject:Acid Pro 6.0 not recognizing my .avi file

Hi!

I own Acid Pro 6.0, and this evening I was trying to load a video (.avi file) that I recorded with my digital camera. I selected the file and drag-dropped it into the track list, but the only thing that is showing up is the audio file. I have it selected so that i should be able to view the video track as well (along with the preview). At the bottom of the explorer window when I have the video file I want highlighted, it says "Video: Stream attributes cannot be determined" and then below it gives the audio properties which look normal.

For grins (to make sure I wasn't inserting it wrong or anything) I tried loading a photo and it worked fine. So either something is wrong with my video file, or something is wrong with the software (maybe I'm missing a plug-in or something?). I'm not sure what kind of video card I have (whatever Dell's default is that comes with their Dimension PC's).

Has anyone had a similar problem dealing with .avi files? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks so much!

Melissa

What is your camera? Specific Model number and brand.

Do you know what format it encodes the AVI as?
