In Acid you can always do it manually by just using the key command for split (CTRL-S) and putting a fast fade envelope at the end of each slice. OR You could just use a gate plug-in. The one included with Acid Pro works great. OR If you're trying to take the breath sounds out of a vocal the Waves Debreath plug is the best thing going. I've seen it in action and it just flat out works. Of course as with most Waves plugs it's very, very pricey.
