Thank you SCS.
I'm anything but a heavy user of SF and yet within minutes of installing it the bugs were obvious.

Don't know if they're fixed or not, haven't downloaded the update as yet.

Did not plan on upgrading to SF 9 originally (I use Vegas for multi-track and SF 8 was ok for occasional tweak). But I've been asking for FLAC support for a while now. So today immediately put money where my mouth is, i.e. placed an order to upgrade to SF 9. Thank you SCS for listening. Yes, I know, I could've used FLAC plugin for free as described in another post. But I wanted to express my happiness by giving money to SCS :)

Where do you find Noise Reduction 2.0G? I only see it going up to version D on their download page.

It gets installed along with the SF update.
As far as I can see not available as a separate update.

I'm having trouble installing the SF update.

This is on my fairly new Core 2 Duo machine, but I get a message
"The following components are required ...
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1"

The only option apart from [Cancel] is [Download], which I can't do as my work PC is not on the Internet. I tried to downoad 3.1 on my internet computer, but MS tries to validate and install on that machine - is there a way I can get round this?

Thanks for any suggestions.

This doesn't answer the question, but I just wanted to chime in that I think the online updates are getting a bit out of hand. Not from Sony, but the Microsoft stuff that can't be easily downloaded and moved around.

I have three new systems in a location that only has dialup access. And when each on of them requires like 60Mb worth of updates right out of the box that's just rediiculous that you can't download to a central folder and have each computer make updates from that folder. (unless of course it needs something not available).

Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 is available as a redistributable package as are most of the other components that Vegas needs.
I used to be on dial-up as well, so I'd download them at work, save to a jump drive and install them once I got home.

Thank you Mike - that worked fine.
