ACID Pro 6.0d keeps crashing. Just before it does, it pops up with an error dialog with heading "MCI command handling window: acid60.exe - Application Error". The error reads "The instruction at "0x76b5cb8a" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read" ". This usually seems to happen when I scroll or select something with the Selection Tool, I guess things that take up memory. I read on a forum post somewhere that this error is usually given there is an incompatability between out-of-date anti-virus software & a 3rd-party application. My anti-virus software is current. I am not having this problem with any other software. And ACID has been crashing a lot ever since i installed 6.0 from 5.0. Could this be a memory problem? I have a AMD Sempron 2800+ 1.60GHz with 512MB RAM (tho says 448MB in Windows System Properties dialog). If anyone has come across this problem, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nathan |

We have seen this before, though have never reproduced it. All indications point to a Anti virus software. What anti-virus software are you using? There was also mention of it with older Creative Labs cards and their software package. Peter |

Using Avast 4. Tried "Stop On-Access Protection", which turns off all services, still crashed with error. I am using Creative SBLive! 5.1, but not their software, using kx Audio driver. |
