Can Preset Manager save/restore process and effect saved settings? Right now Preset Manager 2.0f is only seeing my saved chains and DX presets. I thought I have saved/restored my other settings (eg, custom channel converter settings and fades), but it has been a long time since I have used Preset Manager. It would also be nice if Preset Manager could save/restore custom save settings. I am using SF 8.0d if it matters. Thanks. |

Built-in Sound Forge effects can also be accessed within the FX Plug-Ins folder, though they will be named, e.g." Sony Sound Forge 8.0 Graphic Fade". If you aren't seeing them, try selecting Edit->Refresh System Presets in Preset Manager. J. |

Thanks for reply. In the FX Plus-Ins folder, I do see some saved settings. In my case, I see my saved settings for Sony Dither, Sony Noise Gate, Sony Parametric EQ, Sony Track Compressor, and Sony Track EQ. I have a lot more settings that aren't showing up, though. None of my presets from these are showing up: -- Auto/Trim Crop -- Bit-Depth Converter (the one via the Process menu) -- Graphic Fade -- Insert Silence -- Normalize -- Resample -- Volume Basically, nothing from the Process menu (I don't use the Effects that much). I am not positive, but I thought these used to be available via Preset Manager. Any ideas? Thanks. |

These are all showing up for me in Preset Manager 2.0f when I create a preset for any of these in Sound Forge 8.0d. Are you trying to move presets from an older version or just back up the ones you've created in 8.0? If the latter, are they showing up within 8.0? J. |

I am trying to back up my settings, which I haven't done in a while. All of the settings show up in SF8d. I could do my work without them, I have a backup file from 03/2006 that appears to be missing the process settings, but my settings from 11/2005 and before have them. Thanks for the help. |
