Subject:Noise Reduction Plug In

I'm sure I'm just not in the right place, but I can't seem to find a Sony Noise Reduction Plug In anywhere. I am using SF8.

I have footage I filmed and some definitely has more hiss than the others because the shotgun mic was different distances from the talent. I hear tell that SF possesses a plugin where you simply point to a clear portion of the sound you want removed throughout the clip, and SF removes it from all parts of the clip! This sounds amazing and just what I am looking for.
I am sure I am just overlooking this, can someone help?

it should be included in the box on a separate disc.

if you have the download version then you are in bad luck, since it is lacking the noise reduction plugin if i remember correctly

I don't believe this was included standard with version 8. There may have been some packaged deals when it was first introduced, but the general release didn't have it. It was a separate purchase, and a rather expensive one at that.

well at least in Germany it was common that it was bundled with CD Architect 5.2 and Noise Reduction 2 (at least in any online shop i was looking)

they "even" mentioned in the reviews in some mags, that one should prefer the boxed version, since the download is missing the noise reduction plug in


maybe they just added it for Germany / Europe, since Steinberg stuff seems to be more present here?

That's possible. CDA was very rarely bundled with Sound Forge here.

I got SF8 with CDA and Noise Reduction, can't be sure if NR was on a seperate disk or not, but I don't think it was. I bought mine at Academic Superstore.

Mine came with SF8, CD ARCH and the Noice Reduction Plug in all in CDs in the box.

I don't know if you could check with Customer support to see if you could have it mailed.

If you have your product numbers and purchase history, you might win out.
