I would suggest that you start by reading over the limited material in the DVDA help files.

Also, visit http://www.dvd-replica.com and take a look at the Unofficial DVD Specifications- this will fill in the background on how DVD's work from a programming perspective.

As this is, or rather was urgent it's probably too late, but in case it helps anyone you can usually find several examples of DVD scripting for almost anything by googling. Examples often concern other authoring software, but the scripts themselves are usually the same & work just fine in DVDA. If there's a problem it's that you cannot easily add pre & post commands, so might have to insert a dummy menu page (or three) to hold some of your scripting.
