Subject:Recording takes???

Why do my recording takes always end up in different folders for every session?? I always have to keep telling "preferences" to apply every save at a certain location. It always seems to reset itself?

Also,

When inserting busses, and applying them to tracks. Do I have to turn down the track volume or balance both?

One more thing,

Should I return my Presonus Faderport?

Do you have the latest update? The Options > Preferences > Folders option shouldn't reset itself. It should stick to the folders you told it to place recorded files into.

I remember this happening to me once but once I set it a couple of times it didn't happen to me again.

Track volume comes before bus volume, so keep that in mind. If the tracks are clipping the bus volume, I would turn down the offending tracks first.

I can't help with the Faderport as I don't have one. Sorry.

Is it broken?

You should be able to set up the generic controller in ACID to use it. It wont use the motorized fader, but it will work.
