Is there a way to globally set the default zoom level and the L&R channel stereo lock to ON? I've searched the forum, help and options but can't see it . I've got 1,000+ 12" records that I've ripped but now need to open each WAV and crop/tidy up/enhance. If the WAV file would open at my selected zoom level and also be stereo locked it would save me loads of time/mouse clicks.

Options->Prefs->Display->Normal zoom ratio

This may not be functioning properly in 9.0a, but will be resolved in the next update.

Channel lock is per-window, but the default keyboard shortcut is the ` key (left of '1' on a standard keyboard). For stereo files, as long as you begin the drag near the midline, the drag operation will remain stereo. 'Tab' to cycle channel selection may also be helpful if you seem to miss it due to small window height or whatever.

Also, depending on the kinds of operations you're going to perform on these files, the batch converter and/or a custom script may prove useful.

To confirm, Options->Prefs->Display->Normal zoom ratio doesn't work on my system, files always open up fully zoomed out.

With the channel lock, I'm running SF on a dinky Sony Vaio 11" and it's near impossible to drag near the middle as the cursor is ridiculously tiny at that screen size/resolution. The slightest millimetre over the centre and selection is mono, so I need to lock before selecting. I will try the Tab tip thanks, anything to speed things up is much appreciated. Will def check out the batch converter as well, it looks pretty powerful.

Any idea roughly when the next point update will be? (I'm really desperate for the SF8 cursor/selection functionality to be available again)
