When trying to prepare a completed project to a folder i am having the message"The selected folder is not valid. it is either not possible to create the folder or you do not have write access." The folder in question is empty and created brand new for the project.
I am using windows vista home premium. Please help.

DVDA and DVDAS are not supported on Vista as yet. However, I think some folks have found relief for your problem by running in admin mode - check the Vista forum.

The new version DVDAS 4.5 is supposed to run on Windows XP or Vista.

Do you know if these 'point' upgrades can be downloaded free or at a reduced price?

If you mean the Vista support in DVDAS4.5 -- then that comes with Vegas MovieStudio Platinum 8 (recently announced). They do offer special upgrade pricing from earlier packages:

From their Upgrade Page
<<<<<
Upgrade any version of VideoFactory, Screenblast Movie Studio, or Vegas Movie Studio software to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition 8 software.

I have not seen anything yet for the Full versions of Vegas and DVDA

Thanks George. I just have DVDAS 4.0 and was considering upgdating to 4.5 for the Vista compatibility. I downloaded the update but it would not run without a new key.

Did you check out the TRIAL version (just to see how well it will run on your machine)?

I downloaded the TRIAL, and it seems to run OK on a WinXP machine -- I have not tried it on a PC with Vista yet...

I have Vegas MovieStudio 6 Platinum, and I was considering the upgrade to Moviestudio 8 Platinum (includes DVD Architect Studio 4.5) -- it seemed like a reasonable cost of $35 to download the upgrade (imho)
