I have a song that introduces 2 seconds of pristine whitel noise every 10 seconds or so. It happens even when I delete all instances of VST fx. If I "disaple all audio fx" then it doesn't happen.

It happens from the main bus out because even if I mute all tracks it still happens.

I have a p4 3.02 g with 2 gig ram, firebox (latest driver) and am running Acid Pro 6 d.

I only noticed one other post regarding this and it didn't have an anwer. I hope someone can help me.

Thanks,

George

so when you check the 'disable all audio fx' button it doesn't happen. you muted the vst fx, but what about directx plugins? if you're running any dx fx on your tracks you can try muting them one by one and see if the noise goes away.

I don't have any direct x effects that I know of but I will check that out.

Sounds like an effect in demo mode

That would be my guess as well. It is very, very common for demo FX's to generate white noise at regular intervals. You proved it yourself by disabling all FX. Now what you have to do is figure out what FX are you using that might be a demo. Even if you bought it, something may have happened to throw it back into demo mode. Disable all the FX one by one until you find it. Then buy it, or re-enter the license for it, or remove it.
