My DAW is : a core2 duo E6700 PC with 2 gb corsair memory 2 WD 300gb hd's and an asus motherboard... I've used sound forge on there for a while but with intense dragging and dropping while editing something it dares to crash the entire system and reset the computer. I remastered a song and wanted to put some new things at the beginning and the end. So I ripped the song from the cd it was on (cda format), Applyed graphic fade in on the beginning and while i was doing this i draaged some new pieces in the work area of soundforge in the first situation I was dragging a new piece of wave file that I wanted to mix with an existing remaster one (that I ripped from cd)... I selected the area where I wanted to drop the new element and marked it with some regions, while I played it in loop, I clicked on the exact middle of the regio and the PC reset itself.. In the second situation, I was already a bit further in the aditing process I was doing and I had cut a bit too much off the beginning of a wave file that I wanted to insert. I hiet undo shortcut to bring the little piece back, and again the pc reset itself... Anyone else experienced this ? |

I presume you are using the RME ASIO drivers. What version and what latency? FWIW, RME posted a new driver a couple weeks ago that may help (v3.041). J. |
