Subject:So, AP7 at Summer Namm ?

By my calculations it's just about time for AcidPro 7. New versions are usually at intervals of just over a year.

AP5 - March 05
AP6 - April 06
AP7 - well, about now ?

I know Sony never say anything about this issue, but it's about that time isn't it ?

As Peter usually says: when it's ready. :)

Sure, but just looking at the usual product cycle, it's probably about ready....

My gut feel is that yes, there will be an AP7, it will have tempo mapping as the major new feature, plus more flexible bus routing and some new third party bundled plugins as the sweetener. It will be pretty stable because the underlying engine will be unchanged beyond fixing the known bugs with AP6. The upgrade price will be nominal. There will be some users moaning on this forum about how AP is falling behind the competition, but the rest of us will recognise a good deal when we see it.

Jumbuk is a prophet!

Miss Cleo said it wasn't coming out til Xmas 2008, so I hope you're third eye sees better than hers.

Well, it's got to be imminent as they've just released Acid Music Studio v.7 which supports Vista! Any day now I'd say ;)
