Subject:Seeking in mp3s produces strange noise

Hi,

when seeking in a mp3-file in SF9, by clicking or draging in the seek bar above the timeline, very strange noise occurs. Just had to turn my speakers down, to not damage them...

Quickly checked this with SF8 - not there, everything's ok there.

So I think it is probably a bug in SF9.

Are you using the same device and driver model in both?

You are right, J.!

In SF8 I used 'Windows Classic Wave Driver', in SF9 ASIO. I switched SF9's driver to the windows driver and now, the noise is gone. I even checked SF8 with ASIO, then it produces noise, too.

However, I used on both softwares the same device, my RME 9636.

So, what's wrong with the ASIO driver, to produce that noise?

Thanks for your great help,

Timo
