i tried recording today, just like any other day i record.........for some reason, when i opened up ACID PRO 6, and set it up for recording, there wasn't any input coming into my computer from my mixer.......... i changed the volume on the master/mixer """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" channels/mixer i switched the cable (tried other ones i have)i am using to send the input to the computer i checked my settings on my computer to make sure that the default input device was enabled..........it was correct..........and i played with all the settings that i could possibly play with.........did the same with ACID PRO 6 i used different jacks on my computer, front and back.............nothing. FUNNY THING IS...........i installed ACID PRO 6 on my labtop, and it recorded like a charm!!!...........happy for that.............except that i get a hissing........crackling noise that sounds like shit............other wise i would keep using my labtop from now on..............anyone know how to get rid of that noise............ SO MY QUESTION IS........... is there anything else that i could have possibly missed...........?...........are there different settings i could play with.........?.........any other suggestions that might help? i think the jack on my PC took a dump on me..............but how can i test it to see if that's the problem...........? thanks guys............... |

For your audio interface's software mixer, are the corresponding inputs' sliders not muted and jacked all the way up? Iacobus |

Hmm. So the audio is integrated on the motherboard? You might want to try reinstalling the integrated audio's drivers or going to the motherboard manufacturer's Web site to (possibly) find updated drivers for the integrated audio. When you arm a track for recording, do you see the input meters move at all? (And do you make sure that the right input is chosen?) |
