Is there a way to reduce wind Noise with ACID? I am working on a project that was shot on a windy day and I would like to bring down the noise of the wind. I know in Pro Tools there is a filter but I am trying to do it in ACID. Does anyone know of anything that might work?

If it is constant, Sony Noise Reduction (bundled with SF9) should work.

If it comes and goes, maybe a frequency-selective compressor (ie effectively a de-esser).

If there is lots of low freq rumble, an EQ will reduce it.

I have had this problem before. It is pretty difficult to remove intermittent wind noise without destroying the program material.
