I wonder if anyone is experiencing this problem. I moved some aiff files from my Mac via cd. About 9 trks of instumentation plays fine, then I started adding the vocal tracks, and about 30-40 secs into the song the sound disappears. The playback is still moving but all tracks have no sound. I have also noticed that at some point the sound comes back. I have tested the tracks individually and there seems to be 1 trk that is the culprit. The only thing different about this trk from the others is that it is a little louder. I thought "maybe this is a latency problem", but all adjustments yield nothing. Do you have any idea whats going on? Also how many audio trks are available be it stereo or mono? Thanks in advance for all your help. There is no limit to the number of tracks in AP6.0 other than the power and resources of your computer. If one track is causing the problem you might want to convert it to a wave file and see if that helps. You could be running into a resource issue with your PC. I don't use AIFF files so I'm not sure if ACID is using Quicktime to convert them on-the-fly which would add additional resource overhead. As a last resort I would convert them all to wave files and see if that clears it up. ~jr |

Thanks Jr, I will try that. Normally I don't use aiff files in my PC, but these songs were created with an ADAT, and the Roland 880, and then later on were moved into Cubase 4 for Mac, so that is how they were converted into aiff files. I think that it is really odd that only one track would be doing this. Thanks again for your input. I will convert this one track to a wav and let's hope that fix's the problem. Vondo333 |

Vondo, I have had no problems at all with aiff. But, here's the thing, when I use them in Acid Pro 6, I convert them to wav's first. |

Thanks RandyL for the confirmation. I think that is the best way to do this so that I will have no more glitch's. Vondo333 |
