Subject:pro5 and vista

Hey All

I have just got a laptop with vista and it wont install.

I've been looking around the net net and havent found any really solid information other than -it may not work !!

Will Pro5 work with vista or is it time to move onto a new DAW ?

For now, a much better solution is probably to install Windows XP on your laptop. Vista isn't ready for pro use uet.

No version of ACID is supported under Windows Vista.

Please vist the Windows Vista forum we created here for our Vista plan.

Thanks peter.

I got it to work if anyone cares. I was getting an incompatable message for SQL with vista with the option to install anyway . I installed it then installed acid . It was woring fine but I was getting SQL install screens when I booted up so I unstalled SQL and acid still works fine without it and all is well .

I installed AP6 on my laptop w/ Vista, and it runs just fine..I got the SQL message on installed, but installed it anyways. But I also don't use the media server ..
