Anyone know how to get the Radio Tuning Effects via Acid and or Kompact- i believe there are some in some of the recent Acid sound libraries . I cant figure out if it is a Vocoder, a Sampler, or Synth that you use to do it? Here is example of what i am trying to achieve: ...... take a sample (say of a human voice) and apply Radio-like Tuning Effects.... Basically, the Effect is like that of tuning an FM dial and how the Source seems to comes in and out of coherence via a square or triangle like wave (filter?) as it breaks up or comes together-if this makes sense. Also, if it can be done , anyone know how and/or what to tweak to do it (assuming you can load the sample in first) ? thanks, BZ |

If you have Sound Forge, it has a synthesis generator. (Tools > Synthesis > FM) You'll want to play around with the operators and amplitudes in addition to different frequencies. (Start relatively high with the frequencies; feed 1.1 kHz and 7 kHz into 4 kHz, for example.) Check it out. You could use that and then mix it with the sample in question. (You can get *really* creative here.) Iacobus |
