Subject:Making short audio clips longer

Hello everybody. I'm new here so have a little patience please..lol
This is basically a simple question but a little harder to describe i guess.
I'm using Acid Music Studio. I have some clips or short audio loops if you will, that I would like to extend in length in a song. I dont want the sample to repeat or loop, but to somehow sustain the actual note at its natural end, for longer period of time than the original clip is.
For example: If I have a single violin note, that basically only lasts for 2 seconds, is there a way to make it last, uncut and uninterrupted for the duration of the entire song?
I have tried to copy and piece the clip together, one by one, but I keeping getting gitches, and you can tell that its basically just starting the sample over and over again.
If there is a way to do so, I would also like to ask how to change that particular samples key at certain points of the song, to correspond with the main guitar notes, without changing other instruments notes on other tracks? I know how to use the "Insert: Tempo/Key/Time...." path, but when i do that, I end up changing ALL the instruments key at that point of the song, instead of just the single instrument that I need to change.
I know i'm probably making this sound more confusing than it is, but if you could, please throw me some ideas.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
