I thought for sure I had seen another message about this. But I can't find it, so sorry if this has been addressed previously:

How do you transfer plug-in presets between SF8 and SF9? For all I know the installer does it automatically if you're on the same computer, but I'm installing SF9 on a different computer.

I use the Preset Manager (under the tools menu). In SF8 you'll need to save your presets. Once saved you can send them to SF9 by changing the "preset destination". There may be an easier way, but this has worked for me as long as the Preset Manager had been around.

Thanks. The real problem was that I wasn't aware the preset manager had to be installed separately.
