One of the new features listed for SF9 is "Dolby® Digital AC-3 export". However, when you actually try to render a file, you get 2 choices: (1) AC-3 Pro which you have to purchase and (2) AC-3 Studio. If you try to use Studio, you get a message saying, "There is no template available for this format. The selected media may not support it. Try again?" However, there is no Custom button to allow you to define a template, so the only thing you can do is cancel. |

What is the source format? Are there other templates listed in the template combo? J. |

The problem was the source format. I was using an 8 channel file (7.1 HD DVD format). When I changed to a 6 channel file, a template appeared. |

AC-3 Studio supports stereo and 5.1 only. So your source file in Sound Forge must have either 2 or 6 channels of audio or you will see the "No templates available" error message. |
