(1) Bounce/Freeze tracks
(2) "Join" multiple takes on one track
(3) A fully intergrated mixing console window
(4) Not automatically beatmap one shots in preview
(5) better sync capabilities
(6) Create work templates

Cant wait for 7!!! Thanks Sony

I'm not sure what the technical terms are. BUT I would like to make Acid the slave of my MPC. I would like to press play on my MPC and make ACID start automatically as well.

What is your "MPC"?

I'm puzzled about number 4. As long as the sample in question was ACIDized properly as a One-shot, it should be treated as such during preview.

A One-shot is an ACIDized digital audio track type. (The other two are Loop and Beatmapped.)

One-shots are the only ACIDized track type that is not stretched by ACID in any way.

So, assuming that the sample in question was ACIDized properly (i.e., having the metadata that ACID can read saved along with the sample), ACID should treat the sample as a One-shot when you go to preview using the Explorer.

If the sample was not ACIDized, ACID will try its best to determine what the sample will be (usually a Loop). Sometimes it gets it right, sometimes not. If you know for a fact that the samples being used are not ACIDized, be prepared.

(Samples from 3rd parties will usually tell you if the samples are in ACID format; what they're really just saying is that the WAVs have the necessary ACIDized metadata that ACID can read.)

If anyone didn't know, both ACID and Sound Forge have tools that can ACIDize your samples. Sound Forge is especially handy in this regard.
