For compressed lossless we'll have to use WMA. Extremely slow but working. What would be really great is compressed lossless support for loops (obviuosly Sound Forge comes into play here since it allows you prepare/create loops for ACID). It should be fast compression/codec and it needs to have proper support for aditional RIFF chunks (used for loop info). WavPack fits better for this job IMHO. But FLAC support would be good too. I wonder if both can be supported if just there are DirectX versions of codec. Is that all that's needed? Going to try CoreFLAC - it's a DX version - and see. |

Forum Admin Why don’t SF9 (and other Sony applications) support FLAC? Are there any technical reasons or do you just not want to support this popular format? Thank you in advance, Jøran Toresen Norway |

No luck with FLAC enc/dec DX filters. Audio plugins SDK on this site is very old and is only for audio processing plugins. Is there any kind of SDK for file IO? |
