Subject:VST Synth names in synth chooser

Is there a way to modify the way AP6 displays the names of the VST synths in the Soft Synth Chooser window when you select INSERT SOFT SYNTH?

I my other apps it displays the name given to the .dll file in the VSTplugins folder. I had gone in and modified the names of the files so the VSTs from the different companies (NI, EWQL, Spectrasonics, etc) would display in the name of the available synths. It really helps me organize the plugins, like with the FX lists. This works perfectly in FL Studio 7 and Cubase S4 so why does AP6 not read the same name for the synths?

You should NOT rename the DLL. ACID will consider this as new plugin and all previous reference to the original name will be lost and your project that use the previous DLL name may not load/play correctly.

The synth plug in provides the name through the VST API. If the synth does not provide a meaningful name, then you should talk with the synth vendor and ask them to update/fix their plugin.

We do not use the dll name as this is a hack used by Steinberg because plugin vendors don't always name their plugins using the VST SDK API correctly.
