Does SF support the new little-endian AIFF format that iTunes on OS X creates?

A client recently sent me a few of these and I couldn't manage to open them in SF8d. I ended up having to use Quicktime to convert them to WAV.

Thanks.

I don't have one of these to try, but if it doesn't open in 8.0, I'm guessing it won't open in 9.0.

If you open them as .raw, however, you can specify the endian-ness. You'll just have to guess or otherwise determine the proper header size.

I'll pass this issue on to our fileio people.

Thanks. I think the proper information to pass on to them is support for AIFF-C/sowt files, which is how Apple is handling little-endian PCM data in AIFF.

In case anyone finds this via search, I did some poking through the docs at Apple, and the following Raw settings worked for me:

44,100 Hz sample rate
16 bit PCM
Signed
Little Endian
Stereo
76 byte header
1 byte trailer

YMMV
