Subject:[sf9] Multitrack audio files question...

Can you drag takes of audio along the time line line in a DAW, in the multi track files?
...Or do you still have to copy and paste / merge around the file?

You still have to copy/paste/merge. Forge is a file editor, not a multi-track, NLE, or DAW.

If that's what you're looking for, please try out ACID or Vegas.

Just making sure y'all didn't change any functionality in that sense.

Would have been nice for sound design. :)

I should point out that you can now drag selections within a single file and there are some mix/paste enhancements with respect to edge fades, etc. But it's not a trackview in the same sense as Vegas or ACID.

Check out the trial version if you are interested.

Graci. Yeah I'll probably be upgrading.
The built in 'always on' phasescopes and true RMS VUs are worth the price to me.
