OK -- so the best upgrade costs is 149.99 right? I was thinking that there were other deals available for a limited time.

The multchannel record - can it support different sound cards or most these channels come under the umbrella of one audio device?

They have usually had a short window where the upgrade is available for less when prior releases had come out. I remember SF8 was $99 for about a week or so.

You can use different cards under Wave Classic, but sync is not guaranteed for multiple devices under that driver model.

Having said that, I"d like to call some attention to this point: Multi-channel recording in Forge 9.0 is in no way intended to replace multi-track recording in your DAW of choice. It was designed more with specific multi-channel hardware devices in mind (field recorders, ADATs, camcorders, etc.). If you expect it to behave like a DAW, you'll be better off recording with ACID or Vegas and assembling the files post-record in Forge.

Hmm? How many different Sony Products does one need to own in order to receive the same email deal? I currently own about six.

Sony sales....anybody care to inform us "lackeys" on why select customers receive email deals. I have signed up for email notifications and everything.

luces, email customer service directly. They're usually very helpful. There have been a couple times i didn't receive the email, but a quick call to customer service got me the same deal as those who did get it.

If you own any previous version of Sound Forge (Pro) and have a valid email address in our database, you should receive today's email.

You can verify the email address in your account info on this website. You may also want to check your spam filters.

How can you not upgrade? I'm perfectly happy with V8, but $99 for V9, plus the free Noise Reduction plugin ($279). I'm sold.

Edited: If you already have Noise Reduction, I guess you may not need the upgrade.

I just got it.

Does anyone know if the Noise Reduction plugin is built in or does it only come with the boxed version?
