Is there a control map repository out there on the web for Acid and various control surfaces? Specifically, I'm looking for one for the Tascam DM-24. It seems like the web was made for times like these.

The DM24 with version 2 firmware emulates the Mackie HUI.

ACID supports the Mackie Control Protocol, not the HUI protocol.

It might be possible to map some of the DM24's controls to ACID using ACID's Generic Surface Control driver, this will be a one way (DM24 to ACID) connection. (ACID will not send information to the DM24 to reflect any changes.)

Other Tascam Devices support the Mackie Control protocol. You may want to contact Tascam to see if they are working on a Mackie Control mode or a simple generic template for the DM24.

We are reviewing Mackie HUI support for a future version of ACID.

Oh well, at least I know it's not just my inability to configure the MIDI settings.

I don't think Tascam has had any intention of supporting the DM-24 since sometime in 2004.

Thanks for your insight. I hope that HUI support comes in a "letter" update.

This will not happen. It will only be part of a new version - if it happens.
