How to delete the whole audio track but the last 2 seconds of it in Vegas 7?

You could split the audio event at the two seconds from the end point, press U to ungroup the audio from the video then delete the left hand portion.

OR Press V to insert a Volume envelope, which you can pull down to zero for most of the track then double click to add nodes and ramp it up to 100% for the last 2 secs.

If you have several events on the track, the second option may be easier.

When I need to do this I create a new track above the existing one, isolate the section I want to keep with razor cuts, press "8" (arrow up) to move the section to its own track and delete the track with all the other sounds. It might sound convoluted but it takes less time then it took me to write this.
