OT: How much bandwidth?

Hello, I'm getting a website because I make short films and I was wondering how much bandwidth I need? I'm not going to have the films on the website, just the link to them on YouTube. I will have some photos on the site and some other stuff. The plan that I'm looking at right now has 20gb bandwidth per month, is that enough? Thanks!!

Way more than enough, depending on what kind of popularity you've got already. That should just be outright too much. It will take very little bandwidth really for just text and images. 1Gb would prolly be enough unless you expect a TON of traffic.

If I can put out a shameless plug -- if you're submitting your films to festivals, make sure you hit DancesWith Films

www.danceswithfilms.com

I premiered my feature there in 2000 and have been working with then ever since. We are the only festival in the country to exclude films with major stars, writer/directors, producers, etc. in competition films -- so it's a level playing field for the truly independent filmmakers.

Thanks! That's the cheapest one they offer ($9.95 per month).

I don't know too much about this stuff, does it look ok?

When you're at the site, click technical specs and you can compare.

I agree with some of the above comments. I would suggest looking for a site that offers less for less. It may only be a few bucks, but why spend the money if you don't need to. You can always upgrade later.
