Hi I got a lot of useful info from the "Using Sony Virtual MIDI Router" thread, however I still can't get Acid Pro 6 to chase Vegas 7 using MIDI Timecode. It will work the other way round, Vegas chases Acid no problems. and first time, I might add. I would like my video source to be master. Any thoughts? And is there any difference between Sony Virtual MIDI Router and Sonic Foundry MIDI Router? Sonic Foundry MIDI Router is the one I got from the Sony VMR download site. I am running winows XP and installed Sonic Foundry MIDI Router with 2 ports BTW.... |

It should work. Make sure that Options > Timecode > Trigger from MIDI Timecode is enabled in ACID. (Conversely, make sure that Vegas is generating MTC.) You can also monitor that ACID is actually waiting for MTC by right-clicking the time display and selecting, "MIDI Timecode In." Also check that the VMR is selected for sync'ing under Options > Preferences > Sync. Iacobus |

Thanks for the reply. I will check everything again but ... well I'll check agaian anywayz.. I have had it working before with Vegas as master through an external real midi interface with 2 ports and physically patched them. So I know that works. The software solution just seems much more refined.. :) I will report back.... |
