HI Im a Newby but Im frustrated with my Acid 4.0. Its a nice program but I just dont have time to SLIDE around beats all day trying to come up with something inventive. Does anyone know the easiest most efficient method for tapping out beats - you know, like the old days with a drum machine. |

Not sure what your "budget" is but what I use is: M-Audio Triggerfinger: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/TriggerFinger-main.html OR...http://www.akaipro.com/prodMPD24.php http://www.akaipro.com/products/productimages/MPD24_top.jpg Fxpansion DR008: http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=21&tab=73 Both of which work well. Also I recommend you upgrade to acid pro 6 for its great inline midi editing and drum grid features. If you want to go one step further grab Guru from fxpansion as well: http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=4&tab=21 HTH... Edit...I forgot to mention Rayzoon JAMSTIX!!!!! Any midi controller - I have an ancient Roland PC-200 which does the job fine, whether it's a piano, flute, strings, percussion etc at any given time. |
