Has there ever been a answer for Reason rewired with Sony 6.0. I remember a post describing changes in setting and drivers when I first bought the program. But I am an idiot when it comes to changing setting and divers and would probably mess it up beyond repair. As of now I have to export (Reason 3.0) beats as songs under 44,100 16bit specs. Then bring them up in Sony as an audio track. The problem is that I appear to loose some sound. Not too noticeable but still noticeable. I've tried to rewire Reason in Sony as a midi track. I can here and see my reason song playing in sync with my Sony beats and vocals throughout the song. But I can't seem to record my reason beat in Sony for finished songs. I rendered them while reason being rewired but I get no reason sounds in my rendered song! Is there an answer to recording/rendering reason in Sony Acid Pro 6.0 |

render in 24 bit in reason and you should be able to mix to new track in acid as well. |

ACID does not record the audio from Reason. This is not the purpose of ReWire. The point is to render the ACID project to an audio file (wave, mp3, etc) This will also render the audio produced by Reason as part of the ACID project. >>But I can't seem to record my reason beat in Sony for finished songs. Why do you want/need to do this? If you want to render the Reason project, then render the Reason project from Reason. Import the audio file Reason generates into ACID. Peter |

So, your saying that if I have Reason rewired in my Acid project as a midi track, I can render my Acid Project and my sounds from reason will be incorporated in my Acid Song? Now, do I have to activate the arming record button on the midi rewired track or will it automatically record it when rendering the Acid project? See, I love Acid and everything about it except for the Piano Roll. It's just easier on the Redrum in Reason 3.0 to create drum patterns. Which is the reason why I have reason 3.0. But as far as synth, I'd rather go through Acid because I can modify my live recordings and tweak the notes longer or shorter. It's just frustrating that the sound is good and the bass hit perfect in Reason 3.0. But when I render it and bring it up in Acid, the bass looses the low level hit to it and some of my cymbals are not as loud. The end result is, a good song with some great synth and vocals but the drum pattern sucks in Clarity. How many times can one render something in Acid before you start to hear a difference in sound clarity? |

Just render. There is no mechanism to 'record' the output of Reason into ACID. Reason is no different than a VST Instrument. It is a source of audio whether it generates the audio through its internal patterns/sequencer or is told to generate the audio because ACID is sending MIDI data to it. Everything that Reason pumps into ACID will be part of the render. To be clear, when you "render" in ACID, you are taking the "mix" you have created for your entire project and creating an audio file. What you get is what comes out of your Master Bus in ACID. So, if you have Reason routed into ACID and it is routed either directly or indirectly to the Master bus, when you render your project, you will get what Reason contributes to the mix. You can create project in Reason to 'sync' to ACID using ReWire; You can trigger Reason's synths from ACID using MIDI tracks in ACID, Or you can do both. Again, when you render the ACID project as audio, what ever Reason is "playing" will be rendered. Peter Message last edited on3/7/2007 1:15:18 AM bypwppch. |

Thanks a bunch SonyPC. For some reason I thought I had to activate a arming button. Or see the music on the midi timline. Tried it last night and worked just like you said. No more rendering Reason as a wave files and then bringing them up in Acid. Once again thanks. |
