I would like to know what is the best way to embed video onto a mpeg 2 video non destructively? Is ACID the best way to do this? Can Acid work in conjuntion with vegas to preserve the quality of the video, meaning can I snyc the midi data in ACID with the audio and video in vegas the render it all in Vegas? |

The best way to do this is to just use the video in ACID as a reference. Then render the final product as a WAV file and drop it on the Vegas timeline for final rendering in Vegas. Tip: When you render the WAV in ACID, be sure to check the [x] Save project as path reference in rendered media option. Then in Vegas, if you want to make any changes to the ACID file, you can right-click on the WAV file and select Edit in Source Project (xxx.acd) and it will automagically open in ACID for you to make changes and then substitute the new render from ACID back on the Vegas timeline. Just like it works with Sound Forge. A very productive workflow. ~jr |

JR, Thanks so much that's what I was thinking. Can you sync vegas to acid somehow like with smpte or such? Meaning is it possible to have both programs running and be able to play video in Vegas and record midi in acid and then render them both together? JL |
