Acid will simply not read Sample Tank or Sonik Synth in the VSTi preferences window.

The .dlls are in the right directory, and my other VSTi host (Orion) can read them fine.

Any ideas on this?

A modified version of Peter's original post:

With ACID 6.0 _NOT RUNNING_
run regedit
locate the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Media Software\ACID Pro\6.0\Metrics\VSTi Synth

Delete the entire "VSTi Synth" key folder.

Restart ACID.

This will completely flush ACID's VSTi synth cache and force a complete rebuild.

You will have to re-enable the synths you want once ACID starts.

I put all my VSTis in a directory on a separate drive....separate from my program files drive.

I've wondered if this was causing the problem, but I reinstalled ST and SS into the Vstplugins folder in my Program Files directory, and it still didn't work.

I'll take a stab at regedit, though.....thanks!

Now that I'm thinking of it, there are several other VST/VSTi plugs not coming up in the scanner window, although which ones they are eludes me at the moment....

What happens when you do a refresh/rescan from the VSTi property page?

Well, it rescans the directories but it doesn't find Sample Tank or Sonik Synth.
