Sony Vegas problems I have encountered with Windows Vista.

Media Manager will not run, and should not be installed. This is because it depends on the MSDE service which could be used in previous versions of Windows and it is not supported in Windows Vista.

Audio Plug-ins may generate errors or warning messages when used. This is because they use help files created in Windows Help format, which was used in previous versions of Windows and it is not supported in Windows Vista.

It's not only the Vegas software that can produce issues with Vista at the moment, it is also the other software you may use - for example, Quicktime - that are not compatible yet.
Sadly, from someone who cannot get Vegas to work at all with Vista, my advice is to wait.
