Subject:patch script support for sound modules?

Greetings from a first time poster!

I am switching from Cubase SX 3.1.1 and would like to utlize my sound module patch scripts in Acid 6 pro.

Is that possible? I have the following modules/synthesizers:

Roland:
JV-880
JV-1080 w/ orch exp board
JV-2080 w/ 4 exp boards (drums & bass / hip hop / dance / house)

Korg
05R/W
Karma

Alesis DM5

If not possible, any advice on how to proceed so I can access the patch names from within Acid? There are a boat load of patches and would hate to have to manually plug them in...

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

ACID has templates for all of these.

Both voices and drum maps. I don't see the exp boards in our list though.

To assign a map to a specific MIDI port

-From the Options menu, choose Preferences.

-Click the MIDI tab.

-In the Make these devices available for MIDI track playback section of the dialog, verify the check box is selected for your MIDI device.

-Right-click the Device value for your MIDI device and choose Load Device Template from the shortcut menu.

-Browse to the program map you want to use and click Open.

-The selected program map will be used for any track that is routed to the MIDI device.

This is also covered on page 199 of the ACID Manual.

thanks for the info!

Is it possible to modify the existing device template for the JV-1080 and 2080 so I can access the patches in expansion boards?

If so, how would I go about this?

I saw a reference to editing a program map but not sure if that method would achieve the desired result...

You can edit and create program and drum maps using the Program Map Editor and Drum Map Editor.

This is documented in the help and the ACID manual.
