Why am I only hearing audio through the left side of my headphones, but when I play it back through my sigmatel audio, its on the left and right? I'd like to be able to monitor on the right side of my headphones as well. I'm able to record both left and right line ins, and can adjust volume for both lines, but Im not able to hear anything on the right side of my headphones. I have my digitech processor outs (Left and Right) going into my Lexicon L:ambday (Left and Right In's). My guitar is plugged into the digitech processor itself. ps I'm using Acid Music Studio Message last edited on11/26/2006 10:19:14 PM byshredheadinstead. |

Your guitar is a mono instrument and Left is the default input for mono. Make sure you are recording it into a mono track (I assume you are since it's playing back through both the left and right channels). I don't know how you are monitoring but the solution is in your audio hardware and any software mixer that it may have. I know that for my M-Audio FW-410 I have to pan my analog-in's to dead center so that I can monitor on both sides of my headphones (the default is to pan hard left and right). The signal still only comes into my PC on the left channel so this solved it for me. You probably have to do something similar. ~jr Message last edited on11/27/2006 4:11:49 AM byJohnnyRoy. |

Looking at the manual for the Lambda, it appears it has a "monitor" button. If it's pressed in, a mono signal gets sent to both left and right. If the button's out, a stereo signal gets sent to left and right (respectively). Could this be your problem? Iacobus |

I'd like my mic input to be on a mono track. How do I set the track to mono? |

You don't set tracks to mono or stereo. The audio on a track can be stereo or mono and any combination. What you want to do is record from a mono input source. By default ACID uses the default record device specified in on the Audio Device preference page. To select a mono device for a track, do the following: - Right click on the track. - Select the "Record Inputs" sub menu - Select the "Mono" sub menu - Select the input source that your mic is connected to. You can also change the track's input device after you have armed the track for record. Depending on your hardware configuration, there will be a icon next to the Rec button on the track. Click on it to select the input device and (when using ASIO drivers) whether input monitoring is enabled. This is covered in the online help and ACID Users guide also. Search for "Choosing an input device". The manual will cover it in greater detail. Peter Message last edited on2/16/2007 6:52:55 AM bypwppch. |
