Subject:Audio Out Problem

Hello,

I am having a problem Acid 6.0d and my Edirol FA-101 recording interface. The Edirol is a 10-in/10-out box (4 left-right pairs and a SPDIF pair.)

In Acid, I want to use line out 3 & 4 as the "Default Stereo and Front Playback Device." I select "line out 3 & 4" from the drop-down box on the options/preferences/audio devices page. I click "apply" and/or "ok". (I have tried all of the combinations that I can think of.)

I play the project but the output still comes out of lines 1 & 2.

If I render the project to a file and open it in Sound Forge 6.0e, I can play the output through line 3 & 4 without a problem.

Any ideas why I am having trouble doing it with Acid ?

Thanks,

Kevin

The prefs page is setting the "Default Stereo and Front Playback Device". It is not changing the current project's master bus settings.

To change the current or existing projects master bus routing, open the Mixer view in ACID. On the mixer view you will see a "routing button". Click this and change the routing for the project.

Don't forget to save the project.

Thank you Peter. I am not sure exactly what the "Default Stereo and Front Playback Device" is, but routing the Master bus solves my problem.

Thanks again.
