System optimization for Acid 6.0d -ACID Product Family

It crashes using Amplitude 2.0, unusual loop cursor behavior etc. I've upgaded to a Tascam FW 1804 interface to take advantage of effect monitoring. What I'm driving at is I have lots of experience w/5.0 with no problems so I'm going to assume for the moment that it's operator error or an un-optimized system in 6.0. Can anyone offer advice concerning system optimization for 6.0.? I saw a link posted by PCH or JohnnyRoy last night to a small program that tells you what your start-up items are and what would be running behind Acid that might effect acid's performance but I can't find it today. I'm looking for guidlines to optimize performance before I assume anything is Acid's fault. My Sys. Spec.s are in my profile. Thank you!

The cursor behavior has been tracked down to a Gigaware driver for an optical mouse. I removed it and all cursor problems are gone. It is Amplitube 2.1.0 (not amplitude) that is crashing both Acid 5.0 and 6.0 both when recording and as a track effect. Whenever I make an adjustment in Amplitube I get an exception in Acid. I looked at the data and there is nothing obvious on our side that is causing this. Have you contacted IK Multimedia to see if they can look into why it is crashing inside of their code? They should be able to easily determine what is crashing internally. Peter
